Eyes of Love*

I hope you’ll never tire of looking into my eyes
my eyes that I shall never close on your dreams –
your dreams that have now become mine in my heart –
my heart that pines for you across these spaces –
these spaces
that will echo with our togetherness someday –
someday,
you will see our dreams unfold in my eyes –
my eyes
that will never tire of looking at you with love.

  1. Reminds me of
“so close that your hand on my chest is my hand,
so close that your eyes close as I fall asleep.”

    1. I’m impressed that you’re reading and quoting Neruda.

Yes, they do. And he really looks at me with so much love, my heart literally sighs.
      😍
      Thanks so much Sammy ❤️❤️

  2. This is simply Aaaawinspiring. (New word) I will never tire of looking into your loving eyes. And that second line, I must have read it three times before moving on. The finale made me melt. So freaking happy. Thanks for the end notes. I will always look into your eyes with all of the love in my heart. Today, I may be tired, but you made this a special day. I love you Mami. xoxoxoxo

    1. Like I just told Sameera, my heart literally sighs the way you look at me. There is so much love, I could cry sometimes (which we did today).
I will have to sing a few songs for you soon.
      I love you xoxoxo ❤️❤️❤️

  3. No please don’t be sorry.

I read all your comments too. I felt bad that I may have indeed soured things between you and her. you were so in love with her, the way you responded to comments and spoke about her, like how you now talk about me. I am so sorry.

    1. Well, Rishu replying to this will be a challenge, but I must do it for my Queen. Using my best linguistic skills I will reply; Atiii sundar, No she didn’t write this on Sunday. Yes the poetic scheme did flow as if it road on a kayak. You know how Nandita relates to the sea. Man you were impressed but that shouldn’t inspire you to go shoveling with a hoe in search of buried treasure, for the treasures are here on her blog. Padhkar? Yes these treasures need to be padlocked. That is why she copyrights everything. Waah? Yes, I read her work and I often say Waah to myself. Well actually I say Wow. Thank you for your marvelous breakdown. The queen will be pleased. No, I have to polish her crowns and wash the car. Thank you.

  4. When the sun shines, you two will shine together. Every end was a new beginning, that’s what made this poem so special, it’s like it was never ending and it was so magical because the eyes is the pathway to the soul. A beautiful poem of never ending love.🌹🌹
